Jo Murphy BSc (Hons), BA, MCSP, SRP, MAACP
Jo Murphy was born in Dublin and lived there until 1989. She was awarded a BA in Psychology and Italian from University College, Dublin. Having studied and worked in Italy and France, she returned to the business world in Dublin. She then decided to change her career path and become a physiotherapist. In 1999, she was awarded a First Class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of East Anglia. Jo then worked clinically in a variety of physiotherapy roles, at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and within the wider Norfolk NHS. These years provided her with a wealth of experience in all the key musculoskeletal areas.
Jo played hockey to a high standard from a young age and was always particularly interested in musculoskeletal and sports related injuries. After having two children, she returned to work in the NHS, sharing her time between ante/postnatal back care and musculoskeletal outpatients. By March 2006, she had established her own private practice, Murphy Physiotherapy Ltd. She remains committed to enhancing and expanding the depth and range of her skills. These, to mention but a few, include acupuncture, osteopathic manipulation techniques, sports injuries, and she is also qualified as a Pilates instructor. She is keen to remain at the cutting edge of physiotherapy and is always looking for new clinical challenges.
